Meet The Staff

Dana

Office Manager

Hi, my name is Dana, and I’m the office manager for Dr. Schmidt. During my 11 years of experience in the dental field, I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful patients.  I am very excited to be a part of this team, and I look forward to assisting you in any way I can to make your experience with our office a pleasant one. Your satisfaction and treatment is our top priority. When I’m not working, I’m usually enjoying time spent with Stan (my husband of 12 years), our 3 kids and our 3 beautiful grandchildren. We enjoy attending church regularly and taking vacations in Florida.

Mary Anne

Administrative Assistant

Hi, I’m Mary Anne, wife of Dr. Schmidt. I grew up in Greenville, KY and graduated from Muhlenberg South High School. I attended Brescia University and graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Schmidt and I have 4 children. I was a proud Air Force wife for 21 years, but now I am very happy to finally be home and to settle down in Owensboro. In my free time, I enjoy quilting and love spending time with my family and friends.

Shannon

Chief Surgical Assistant

Hi, my name is Shannon and I’m proud to say that I bring over 20 years experience in oral surgery assisting to the Schmidt team. Currently I’m an allied staff member of the AAOMS (American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), and in 2006, I acquired my DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam) certification. I’ll be working alongside Dr. Schmidt to provide the absolute best care to each patient in the safest and most professional manner possible. I’ve called Owensboro “home” most of my life. I’m an animal lover and I love to travel when I get the chance.

Caitlyn

Surgical Assistant

Hi, I’m Caitlyn. I am originally from Tennessee, but have spent most of my life in Western Kentucky. After receiving my dental assistant training in Madisonville, KY, I worked for a successful dental practice for two years. I’m very excited to be able to expand my knowledge and skills at Dr. Schmidt’s office, and I look forward to working with you to meet your oral surgery needs. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me shopping or spending quality time with my family and friends.
